Mission Support Network

Here are some statistics for the mission work Trevor has accomplished during the past month.
From Trevor:

September 22, 2006

Hi Jack,
Just a note to say that I am still alive and well and working hard. I have
some stats for you from last month.
Our plane carried 7 medical evacuations, 1168Kg of medical supplies for remote
areas, 32 medical workers 3 laymen, 16 pastors, 10 administrators 331kg
supplies for churches and schools, 1418kg of other mission cargo. Its not
until you keep tabs of what you do every day that you realize how much is
involved in the work out here. And to think that no planes moved around here
for a couple of years.

The clinic work is starting to move forward now. We are hoping to have Kapi
and Wia Wia clinics permanently staffed again by the end of the year. Both
places have been visited now by teams. The main issue is communications. We
need to get some radios by the end of the year. Wia Wia radio can be repaired
and I guess we will just do that this time. It is old and will probably break
down again in that humid area.

There are now 3 missionaries in the Kapi area west of the Tua River. They are
Kelly, Toni and Gideon. They will be an encouragement to one another. I took
Pr Tom the DD in there with them and the Bibles we got from the Bible Society
in Lae. The strip at kapi has not been used for a long time and is very soft.
I have taken Pr Tom back out already and hope to get him over there as often
as he needs to go. The guys have been paid up till the end of Sept. I am
thinking of getting him back in there to check on their progress when I take
their pays down next month. This is just so exciting for me. To see the
mission work advancing again and to have the joy of planning ways of helping
out that cost the mission next to nothing.

Toni over at Kapi is asking for a saw, a hammer and some nails. He has
started 3 new hand churches and wants to put up buildings for the people to
worship in. That is just so exciting to me. I missed the first baptism over
that side of the river but definitely want to be at the next one.

Well I best get some rest ahead of another big day tomorrow. I am keeping my
head above water financially so far. God is blessing.

God bless
Regards
Trevor
